Kapil Sibal writes poem on his Twitter experience

Nearly a month after he joined Twitter, Kapil Sibal, communications and information technology minister, has some thoughts to share on his experience on the social media so far. And he has done that by penning a small poem.In this poem, shared through three tweets, Sibal says that he is "sold" on this medium. But adds that it is not all "gold". Here is how he frames hisTwitterexperience in words:"30 days, 84 tweets,They say I've reached over 2cr peeps. As much I am on this medium sold,I gather all that twitters isn't gold. Here I gather plenty insights, from politics to basic rights.Bridging six degrees of separationAnd as many degrees of desperation. All the fans, every trollMake this for me, anything but droll. Thanks tweeple for the journeyso far It's been a month, above par."Currently, Sibal has over 32,000 followers, far less than the number of followers that Shashi Tharoor, Narendra Modi and Omar Abdullah have. He follows 12 Twitter users. But (relatively) low follower count doesn't meant lack of interaction on his timeline. WhenSibal joined Twitter, he got a barrage of tweets. Some welcomed him while others trolled him. The number of tweets trolling him was more, given he is not particularly popular among web users in India, who perceive him to be anti freespeech. But so far Sibal has taken the trolls in his stride and had tried to deal with them in a witty manner, which has won him some praise from his Twitter followers. On Saturday, his poem largely drew positive reaction. Ramesh Srivats, who has over 1.5 lakhfollowers replied:".@KapilSibal That's nice poetry dear Kapil Full of fun & mass appeal Your wit & rhyme we shall hail As long as you don't send us to jail"Another user, Tejkaran Singh, said, "@KapilSibalwell sir not necessarily your fans..but thank youfor being on twitter..hoping for moreKapil Sibalthan congress spokesperson."
